Feminist Fear of Criticism

by 06.19.2018

Recently, the future Captain Marvel Brie Larson attacked film critics for scoring A Wrinkle in Time so low. Why? Because they’re men. Some of the stars of Ocean’s Eight were upset at critics. Why? Because the critics are men. For some reason, it’s unfair for men to have opinions about films that star women. For some reason, critics are supposed to talk about “what a movie means to them” instead of actual criticism.

Is this diversity, or an attempt to excuse away failure?
