Do you ever wonder why drawing faces are so hard? Seriously – we see them every day, when we have a conversation, look in the mirror or walk down the street. So why is it so hard to draw them?

Well, it’s for precisely that reason! We see so many faces every day that we’ve developed an uncanny ability to spot the subtlest details in people’s appearances.

So when it comes to drawing faces, we’re able to tell instantly if the structure is flawed, misshapen, or if the proportions and placement of the facial features are wrong. It doesn’t take a lot either – Our vivid familiarity with the human head can make the smallest mistakes glaringly obvious.

Don’t worry; you’re not the only one. Most people find it extremely difficult to draw heads in the beginning. The structure of the face is extremely complex and almost impossible to represent correctly without a straight forward method of construction – which is exactly what this course is here to give you.

I’ve created this unit to guide you through a simple, easy to follow method for constructing the face, eyes, nose, mouth and ears from different points of view. Each stage is covered detail, with clear, steadily paced demonstrations that show you the entire process from start to finish.

You’ll learn how to draw a multitude of head types for both men and women, spanning a range of different age groups and ethnicity so that you can create unique characters that have variation within their features.

We’ll also discuss how to bring the face to life with expression, as we learn how to convey emotions through the movement and composition of the features.

Most importantly, you’ll learn how to take the confusion and frustration out of drawing faces, using an extremely simple process that’ll make them much easier to draw.
