Yeah, this is a thing that happened. The critically acclaimed House of X and Powers of X comics by Jonathan Hickman have been getting some odd criticism. Specifically from the SJW crowd. One writer has put forward a blog that suggested that the X-Men are akin to white nationalists now. Another blog sees him compare them to “the Zionists” in an antisemetic smear.
