Star Trek Picard season finale finally aired and the show is over for the foreseeable future. Aside for forgotten plot points that were introduced earlier that were completely forgotten CBS and show runners decided to follow Marvel’s lead with the “Snowflake & Safespace” and attempt to virtue signal to gain points with the LGBTQ+ communities but instead of following the guidelines of past Star Trek series that have had LGBTQ+ themes and characters, the writers decided to throw this major plot point in at the last second to received brownie points instead of giving them the respect they deserve and writing a decent backstory with character development and arcs. I go through giving a point by point breakdown and examples on how this could of been done right.
