Robert Kirkman did not get along well with Marvel’s Joe Quesada. Quesada would not allow Kirkman to promote the Marvel Comics titles he was working on, and Marvel didn’t want to promote those titles themselves because they were lower-selling titles. Kirkman did use his fame very strategically from working on Marvel properties, especially Marvel Zombies, to build his fortune though. There are two sides to this story. Here’s my take!
