Universal Studios announced a direct to video deal approved by the largest movie theater chain, AMC Theaters to release new movies to Video on Demand services within 17 days of theatrical release. This means the end of movie theaters being able to dominate new film distribution forever. Direct to consumer continues to take over the entertainment industry. Here’s my full take!
