Do you find it difficult to draw consistently? No, I’m not talking about the level of regularity – but rather drawing your illustrations to a consistent level of quality so that your body of work looks as though it was all produced by the same artist!
You know what I’m talking about. You set out on some big drawing venture, maybe a comic book lets say. You’re off to the races, everything is going swell. The first few pages look spectacular. So you keep on going, plowing through, page after page until you reach the end.
You’ve got a full book in front of you now. You’re looking at the last page you drew, and comparing it to the first page, and what do you know, they’re in completely different leagues.
Why?
Because you improved along the way of course. If you’re making progress as an artist, and leveling up your skill set, one drawing after the other then of course you’re going to see a difference.
