The comic book industry failed us by pretending the graphic novel sales, which include manga and Scholastic books, indicated a healthy and thriving industry. While manga is indeed growing in popularity, it has little correlation with the sales for American superhero comics. Marvel and DC should feel embarrassed for allowing many to parrot this nonsense.
