Substack wants to create comics and sell them through digital subscriptions, and they are hiring “Hail Hydra” Nick Spencer to round up comic writers to create IPs for them. In turn, they will provide these writers with money to hire an art team?! So are comic artists are not considered equals in the process of comic creation anymore? Will the ‘success’ writer-driven market work out for Substack?
