Making a comic book is no easy feat. If you’ve ever tried – you know what I’m talking about.
It can take months, maybe even years to write and illustrate your own book.
As well as raw ability, you’ve got to have an insane level of drive and dedication to see it through to the end.Â
Most people give up before they get to that point.
They get bored and lose motivation. They want to move onto the next big idea.
But of course, those ideas never come to fruition, because they don’t stick with any of them long enough.
So what does it really take to create a comic book?
What kind of mindset is required, to wake up and pour your heart and soul into it every single day until you reach the finish line?
How do you get that next page drawn, even when it’s the last thing you want to be doing?
This is some next level stuff.
Because after you’ve got the outer game handled – aka your drawing skill-set, it’s the inner game that ultimately makes a comic book happen.
You can have all the ability in the world. But if you don’t know how to be disciplined, that doesn’t mean squat.
So in today’s interview (which you’re invited to), I’ll be catching up with a very special guest. Someone who knows what the deal is when it comes to making comic books.
He’s paid his dues, having worked for Marvel on titles such as Thunderbolts, New Warriors and Cable.
He’s the creator and artist behind Graveyard Shift and Godlike.
His name is Jon Malin.
And today we’ll be talking about how to cultivate the mindset of a pro.
How to become someone who gets the job done whether you’re working on your own book or someone else’s.
We’ll delve into Jon’s creative process for God-Like, a comic he’s in the process of illustrating right now!Â
Best of all – this will be a LIVE interview, which means you can join us!
