Just weeks after DC Comic’s top guys Jim Lee and Daniel Cherry III came out to reassure fans and retailers that they’ll still be in the comic business, not only did they lose their biggest writers to Substack, they are now abandoning the direct market with a hard pivot to digital comics of their own. DC Comics will be introducing their characters to the South Korean-based web comic service, and it is very different from the usual fare on that platform.
