In a series of “What If” comics featuring Miles Morales, the issue featuring Miles as the new God of Thunder has all of comics Twitter in an uproar over how racist the writing and art is. Not only does he talk in a “stereotypically black” manner, symbolisms of gang violence are littered throughout the book in an attempt to… make Miles more black? Is this a case of over-pandering to the point of racism?
