In celebration of Pride Month 2022, Marvel announced a new, gay Spider-Man that will debut in the Edge of the Spider-Verse comics. However, much like their version of Thor Miles Morales, this Spider-Man leans very heavily on gay tropes, so much so that it appears to be stereotypical of the gay community. Why is Marvel Comics so keen on diluting the Spider-man brand with 100s of different Spider-Men/Women anyway?
