2. Freedom of speech (Purpose: Conflict resolution through persuasion instead of violence; Negation: CRT, Queer Theory)
3. Equal protection under the law (Origin: Protestantism, Equal in the eyes of God; Negation: NRx, CRT)
4. Property rights (Purpose: Motivate technological innovation cycle; Negation: Socialism, Communism)
5. Tolerance of conflicting beliefs (Purpose: Laboratories of moral system innovation, Negation: NRx, CRT, Islam)
6. Knowledge is based on evidence (Purpose: Creates an overarching system to mediate between multiple belief systems; Negation: Divine revelation, CRT, Standpoint Theory)
7. Meritocracy – Status improvement through merit, not birthright (Negation: monarchism, communism, CRT)
8. Democracy or consent of the governed – This mechanism allows a wide swath of society to have veto power over current leadership, allow society to elect new leaders and change direction.
