Changes have been made to Scooby Doo’s resident nerd girl, Velma Dinkley, some old and some new. She has recently been outed as a lesbian, which throws all her previous romances with male characters out the window. She has also now been race-swapped, along with 3/4 of the Scooby Doo gang. Is there a reason why corporates are choosing to change legacy characters so drastically?
