“Prisons” Guest-starring Hawkeye and Mockingbird. Script by Denny O’Neil. Pencils by Mark Bright. Inks by Ian Akin and Brian Garvey. Cover by Mark Bright, Ian Akin, and Brian Garvey. The man called Goliath (aka Erik Josten) is one of the strongest beings on the planet, on par with the likes of Thor, Wonder Man, and Hercules. For weeks now he has been a prisoner at the Avengers’ west coast compound (since West Coast Avengers (1985) #3). He just busted free. Now, it’s up to Shell-Head and his teammates to put a stop to the titan’s rampage! Cameo appearances by Jim Rhodes, Clytemnestra Erwin, and Yorgon Tykkio. (Notes: Goliath appears next in Avengers 273 as part of Baron Zemo’s Masters of Evil. The letters page contains numerous fan letters praising the story in Iron Man 200.)
