The past decade has seen comic publishers hiring creators more known for their activism and labels than for the quality of their product, as shown in declining sales of American comic books. Vita Ayala, writer behind dozens of DC and Marvel titles, now admits that she see profits as evil – a sign that their goal is not to maximize profits for the comic publishers, but instead to push their personal agendas.
