Children of the Grave is an Open AI, ChatGPT-based text adventure game presently in development. Because of limited tokens that can be used in chat sessions presently, even with GPT-3.5-16k, developers need to be creative about what’s needed to make the chatbot function on the backend as well as carrying persistence into the limited prompts that can be added to a user’s response. Users will find they often need to remind GPT of what occurred earlier in a chat to get it to keep functioning, but as more space and tokens are offered, this should become less of a problem in future versions.
