Despite mainstream comics claiming that Comicsgate is irrelevant and a dying consumer movement, they are also quick to jump on it as a way to brand their detractors to easily get them labeled for cancellation. Is Comicsgate really such a threat to mainstream comics, or does the mainstream need a common enemy to point to in order to keep their jobs?
