Tim Sheridan has stated in explicit terms that he wants people to buy his Green Lantern comics to “shut up the homophobes”, and goes on to claim that it is “selling great”. Except that his latter statement is disproven by the ICv2 sales chart. He then shifts the goalpost and claims that his book will never chart because it ships at the end of the month, thereby displaying a complete lack of understanding of the direct market. Do creators need to understand the industry that they work for, or should they be left to make nonsensical statements on social media?
