In late November, “Yellowstone” mastermind Taylor Sheridan filed a complaint against co-star Cole Hauser.

The Northern District of Texas Federal Court complaint came from Bosque Ranch, a multi-platform business associated with Sheridan, against Free Rein Coffee Co., Hauser’s latest San Angelo-based creation in association with three Midlanders: Karl Pfluger, Aron Marquez and Paul Anderson.

The complaint alleged that Free Rein Coffee Co. violated trademark infringement with “unfair competition and false advertising once the company began marketing its cowboy brand.” The main issue presented by Bosque Ranch related to logos, stating “Free Rein uses a brand mark strikingly similar to Bosque Ranch’s registered trademark, potentially misleading consumers.”
