Robert Downey Jr. has been cast as Dr Doom in the MCU. Given his success as Iron Man, it’s no wonder the House of Mouse wants him back in the saddle. But instead of picking from an existing comic about how Iron Man became Dr Doom, Disney is actually telling Marvel Comics to come up with a brand new story? Instead of picking from the trove of ideas in 80+ years of published comics, is Disney just commanding Marvel to make wha they want, when they want it?
