BALTIMORE — The Baltimore City Fire Department battled a five-alarm building fire on Sunday, according to Fire Chief Wallace.
Wallace says on September 22 around 9:26 a.m., crews were dispatched for reports of a building fire in the area of Lombard and Eutaw Street.
Upon arrival, Wallace says there was heavy smoke showing.
The fire immediately went to a two-alarm by 9:33 a.m. By 9:40, it went to a three-alarm, by 9:51 it went to a four-alarm, and then it hit a five-alarm at 10:00 a.m.
Five commercial buildings have been impacted and one residential apartment, according to the Chief.
