Yet another mainstream comic creator has written that they were unable to find work in the mainstream comic industry for much of this year, and had to resort to working retail to make ends meet. No matter how much you achieve in mainstream comics, the industry will not take care of you when you are down on your luck. So why not make your own creator-owned comics instead?
