Diamond Comics Distributor has been bought by Alliance Entertainment, and their offer is too good for other bids to be successful. Alliance deals is the business of collectibles and it is easy to see that they bought Diamond for their list of comic store retailers that they hope to have carry their collectibles instead of comics. Comic publishers are barely mentioned in Alliance Entertainment’s statement, so is this is a sign that comic shops are nearing an end?
