Eric July of the Rippaverse thinks that AI is the future of comics, able to replace artists who must in turn learn to check their egos to find continued employment. What he doesn’t realize is that with the proliferation of AI into consumers’ hands, the actual value is not in the comic book, but the IP of the character itself. After all, when anyone can make their own Spider-Man comic, only the owner of the Spider-Man IP benefits in the end.
