A new issue 1 of Battle Beast from the Invincible Universe by Robert Kirkman has sold almost 400,000 copies, breaking all previous comic book launch records. They have even secured the rights to reprint an old Marvel crossover book featuring Invincible. With Skybound’s success in crowdfunded comics such as their Transformers and GI Joe collections, should Marvel and DC Comics just license their characters out to them to make comics instead?
