Is This The Most Difficult Comic Book Page I’ve Ever Coloured?

by 05.22.2025

My video art diary of my work for my independent comic book, The Lucent. This comic book art is from my upcoming book, Fractured Mind. In it, I’m showing a page that’s proving to be the most difficult page to colour I’ve ever run into, without any obvious source of light, and completely covered in tiny shards of glass, it’s proving very difficult for me to figure out the best way to tackle it as a spread, especially taking into account that I’ll need the colours to help guide the eye across the page.

My name is Michael Bancroft and I’m an independent comic book writer and artist. If you’re a fan of the indies, or comic books in general, especially European and French-style Bande Desinnée, then please check out my channel. I want to make more original content based on my own work, so if you’re interested in this kind of video, please hit like, subscribe, and leave a comment.
