Catwoman in the Absolute Batman comic is supposed to be black-coded, or so the fans claim. Yet the variant covers released show her as a “pale white woman” instead. Writer Scott Snyder is forced to apologize to the mob, but he still cannot answer what ethnicity she is. Is this what comic fandom has been reduced to?
