Daniel Warren Johnson’s Absolute Batman annual is about to come out, and what better way to drum up attention then by drawing a commission of Batman choking out an ICE agent/police officer? This is not the first time an artist has chosen to use a copyrighted character as a political mouthpiece, but plenty of artists have gotten into trouble with the comic companies with similar private commissions. Will this lead to comic publishers cracking down on private commissions and fanart?
