Nintendo and Sony just broke the internet with the first official photos from the live-action Legend of Zelda movie, and Hyrule has never looked more real! Directed by Wes Ball (Maze Runner, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes), the film stars Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as the silent hero Link and Bo Bragason as Princess Zelda. The newly released images show the duo in a breathtaking green field, complete with pointed Hylian ears, flowing tunics, and Zelda wielding her iconic bow—straight out of Breath of the Wild dreams.Shigeru Miyamoto himself shared the casting news, saying he’s “very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen.” Filming is currently underway in the epic landscapes of New Zealand, with the movie slated to hit theaters May 7, 2027.
