Continuity Notes
The events of this limited series takes place between pages 17 and 18 of Fantastic Four #305.
Shadowcat, Colossus and Nightcrawler were injured during the Mutant Massacre event between Uncanny X-Men #210–213 when the X-Men defended the Morlocks from the Marauders.
The Invisible Woman states that it was “ages” ago when she and Mister Fantastic got married. They were married in Fantastic Four Annual #3. Per the Sliding Timescale of Earth-616 it has been roughly seven years between Reed and Sue’s wedding and this story.
She-Hulk is still technically a member of the Fantastic Four after joining the team in Fantastic Four #265 even after the Thing returned in Fantastic Four #296. This adventure marks her last official outing with the team as an in-uniform member.
The Fantastic Four are not ready to trust Magneto. The X-Men separated from other heroes, including the Fantastic Four, in Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #1–12 because of others’ distrust of the longtime enemy of the human race. Reed and Sue also saw Jean Grey’s horrified reaction in Fantastic Four #286 when she learned that her old team has been seen with him. They are unaware that Magneto recently renounced his ways and allied with the X-Men in Uncanny X-Men #200.
Mister Fantastic and Wolverine’s battle is viewed by Reed’s future self in Fantastic Four (Vol. 2) #7.
