Ran is a graphic novel that is 35 year’s in the making. the 48-page, full-color, graphic novel, “Revenge of the Warrior” is set within the violent, neon-lit, Kabukichō district of Tokyo 1993, and features the character and story that inspired Tucci’s legendary Shi.

“Ran is very near and dear to my heart by being my “first” and the character that eventually evolved into Shi.” Stated writer/artist Billy Tucci. “We’re going to go all-out ‘Bad Girls’ on this one and I cannot wait to share her decade’s long story of vengeance and triumph!”

Revenge of the Warrior details one young woman’s war against a human-trafficking gang of American ex-pat killers aligned with the notorious Yakuza crime syndicate.

Billy Tucci’s latest graphic novel, Ran: Revenge of the Warrior debuts on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter this coming Thursday, November 20th, at 7pm EST/4pm PST. The short 22-day campaign will close at 11:59pm EST on December 22nd.
