“Line Steppin’ Queen”
Verse 1
She walks in the room like the floor owes her rent,
drops a casual bomb then says “Was that too much?” with a wink.
Teacher says “Quiet,” she replies “Define quiet,”
then quotes Shakespeare… in pirate.
Boss draws a line, she treats it like chalk on the pavement,
skips right over it doing the moonwalk, no payment. Pre-Chorus
Every rule’s just a suggestion in her eyes,
every “don’t you dare” gets a cheeky “watch me try.” Chorus
She’s a habitual line stepper,
one foot over, one foot clever.
Turns “that’s too far” into “that’s just the start,”
with a grin that says “darlin’, hold my heart.”
She don’t cross lines, she does the tango on ’em,
leaves ’em laughing, asking “how’d she even pull that one?”
Habitual line stepper, yeah she’s trouble, but the fun kind,
the kind that makes you glad you didn’t draw the line. Verse 2
At the family dinner, Uncle drops a dodgy joke,
she steps right in with “Mate, that’s so 1994 – retro, but broke.”
Mum says “Behave,” she says “Define behave,”
then serves the roast with a side of “you’re welcome, wave.”
Cop pulls her over, “Ma’am, you were speeding,”
she hits him with “Officer, I was just leading the race that you weren’t reading.” Pre-Chorus
Every boundary’s a dare in disguise,
she high-fives it then pirouettes on the other side. Chorus
Bridge (half-spoken, proper cheeky)
She don’t break hearts, she just bends ’em a little,
then hands ’em back with a post-it note: “You’re welcome, riddle.”
World says “Stay in your lane,” she says “Lanes are for squares,”
then drifts through the middle like she owns the whole road and the air. Final Chorus (louder, big smile)
She’s a habitual line stepper,
queen of the quip and the clever.
If life’s a tightrope, she’s doing cartwheels,
laughing while the rest of us clutch the handrails.
Habitual line stepper – catch her if you can,
but good luck mate… she’s already three steps ahead of the plan.
