It looks like not only is Dan Slott’s latest Spider-Man book not going past issue 5, he is now tasked to create new characters for Marvel in this series. Is Marvel Comics forcing their writers to come up with new characters in order to boost sales and create a speculator boom with #1 appearances, or are they using comics as IP farms? One thing’s for sure – the comic industry has never looked more bleak.
