Kickstarter has enacted a site-wide ban on adult content, effectively putting an end to a lot of adult comic creator’s crowdfunding plans. Their own guidelines on what constitutes adult content is full of contradictions, while their payment processor has a far clearer rule: no adult material allowed. Some argue that this is a violation of their freedom of speech, but what is Kickstarter’s real motive for doing this?
