Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day opened June 2026 starring Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, and Colin Firth in the director’s first original science fiction blockbuster in 25 years — and despite genuine craft on screen, a screenplay full of contradictory rules, an inert villain, and an ending that runs twenty minutes past its own climax drag it down to a 5.5 out of 10. Disclosure Day has the bones of a great alien thriller and the script of a movie assembled from studio notes.
