HarperCollins’ William Morrow imprint released Tolkien Myths and Legends Box Set #2 in 2026 — putting J.R.R. Tolkien’s Old English Exodus back into print for the first time since its 1981 Clarendon Press first edition, which never had a second printing and currently trades above $1,000 on the secondary market when available at all. The box set also contains Finn and Hengest, The Story of Kullervo, The Lay of Aotrou and Itroun, and The Battle of Maldon — the most complete affordable edition of Tolkien’s Anglo-Saxon scholarly translations currently available. Combined with the four History of Middle-earth box sets, the William Morrow line now consolidates the overwhelming majority of Tolkien’s posthumous scholarly output into six affordable purchases, including books that have been genuine collector white whales for decades.
