I read CBR’s worst Cowboy Bebop article so you don’t have to.

CBR recently published an article arguing that Cowboy Bebop is harder to watch today — that its episodic structure feels slow, its characters are emotionally distant, its story leaves too many questions unanswered, and its ending depends too much on Spike Spiegel’s relationship with Julia.

But I think the article completely misses the point.

Did Cowboy Bebop age badly? No. Cowboy Bebop didn’t age badly. Modern anime criticism and media criticism just forgot how to read silence.
