If you were expecting another classic Tom Cruise action spectacle or a run-of-the-mill studio comedy, prepare to have your mind blown.

Directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, DIGGER sees Tom Cruise stepping completely outside his comfort zone. Wearing prosthetics, dialing the absurdity up to eleven, and playing the eccentric, catastrophic oil mogul Digger Rockwell, Cruise delivers one of the weirdest, boldest, and most unexpectedly hilarious performances of his entire career.

In this spoiler-free review, we break down why DIGGER completely subverts expectations, how its razor-sharp satire works, and why this bizarre comedy might just be one of the best surprises of the movie year.
