Welcome to the stream! Today we’re diving into the brand-new Corum Tome 2: La Reine des Épées, the second volume of Glénat’s recent adaptation of Michael Moorcock’s classic Swords Trilogy.Published on 26 August 2026 by Glénat, this 56-page hardcover is scripted by David Chauvel and drawn & colored by Luca Merli. It continues directly from Le Chevalier des Épées and adapts the second novel of Corum Jhaelen Irsei’s saga.

Synopsis (no major spoilers):
The balance of the worlds is crumbling. Led by Gaynor the Damned, the armies of Chaos march on Lywm-an-Esh, the last bastion of the Vadhagh. To save the city, the mutilated Prince in the Scarlet Robe must venture where no mortal should go — into the very heart of the realm of Xiombarg, the Queen of the Swords. Accompanied by Jhary-a-Conel and the Count of Moidel, Corum reaches the mysterious City in the Pyramid… while the barriers between the planes tear open and horrors pour into the world.I’ll be going through the entire album page by page (or panel by panel when needed), discussing the art, the adaptation choices, how it compares to the original novel, the Multiverse connections, and anything else that stands out. Expect commentary on Moorcock’s themes, the visual style of Luca Merli, and how Chauvel handles the source material.⚠️ Spoiler warning: This is a full read-through. If you haven’t read the book yet and want to stay unspoiled, join us for the discussion parts only or come back later.
