Jon Del Arroz attended World Fantasy Con and made news in the science fiction and fantasy community — and within days, an organized bully mob pressured a genre news outlet into deleting their coverage of his story entirely. This is what cancel culture looks like inside SFWA and the Worldcon fandom establishment: disagreement isn’t debated, it’s erased. Jon breaks down exactly what happened at the convention, who came after him, why a news site caved to the pressure, and what this reveals about the gatekeepers who claim to represent science fiction and fantasy fandom in 2026.
