Joe Haldeman won five Hugo Awards, five Nebulas, and was named an SFWA Grand Master — one of the most decorated science fiction authors in the history of the genre. His novel The Forever War (1974), drawn directly from his Vietnam combat experience, is one of the greatest military science fiction novels ever written and still holds up over fifty years later. Forever Peace won him another Hugo and Nebula in 1998. If you love military science fiction and you haven’t read Haldeman, this video is where you start.
