USPTO’s action effectively resets the timing of the trial, with Van Sciver and his new attorney, Scott Houtteman, being granted the opportunity to argue on behalf of the Comicsgate trademark. Since there could have been default judgment in favor of Poulter, this is definitely a victory for Van Sciver and for Comicsgate as the trial moves forward.
