What a sad state of affairs it is when the Japanese understand how to appeal to readers by using a visual medium; meanwhile the morons we have in the American comic book industry would rather fill a page with 26-word bubbles for Colossus than to have him… oh I don’t know be colossus. This page is from Secret Wars: Years of Future Past; if we compare it side by side with the alternatives from across the pacific, we get a better idea of why kids prefer to read manga than comics from the big 2 publishers. Nothing but action and style. Demon Slayer also offers more interesting characters than anything I’ve read from America in a while. Say what you want about the occasional chibi stuff, but at least a page isn’t filled with boring dialogue. Next time, Marvel give me the tldr version of this crap.
