Through Circles Nine

[Verse 1: The Gates and Limbo]
Through the shadowed gate, we tread with dread,
Virgil whispers low, “The path ahead.”
“Abandon hope,” the stone declares,
Lost souls linger, trapped in stares.
In Limbo’s gloom, the virtuous sigh,
Unbaptized weep beneath the sky.
[Verse 2:
Down we spiral, winds arise,
The tempest howls with lovers’ cries.
In Circle Two, lust’s prisoners spin,
Caught in storms of their own sin.
Francesca weeps, her tale unfolds,
A love too bold the whirlwind holds.
[Chorus]
Oh, nine circles deep we go,
Through fire, ice, and endless woe.
Dante scribes, and Virgil leads,
In Hell’s embrace, the soul still bleeds.
[Verse 3: Gluttony]
Rain pours cold, the mud runs thick,
Gluttons wallow, sick and slick.
Cerberus barks, his jaws devour,
Three heads roar in ceaseless power.
Beneath the slop, they groan and rot,
Excess their doom, their wretched lot.
[Verse 4:
Gold and greed in Circle Four,
Hoards and wasters clash once more.
Piles of wealth they push and strain,
Bound by avarice, cursed by gain.
No rest, no peace, just endless fight,
Shadows wrestling through the night.
[Chorus]
Oh, nine circles deep we go,
Through fire, ice, and endless woe.
Dante scribes, and Virgil leads,
In Hell’s embrace, the soul still bleeds.
[Verse 5: Wrath]
The Stygian marsh, a wrathful tide,
Sullen souls sink deep inside.
Fists fly fast, the angry thrash,
Bubbles rise from silent wrath.
Through the mire, we row with care,
Fury’s stench fills the air.
[Verse 6: Heresy]
Flaming tombs in Circle Six,
Heretics burn for thoughts they fixed.
Blasphemers scream, their minds defied,
In coffins red, they’re crucified.
Virgil speaks of ancient lore,
As embers dance on Hell’s dark floor.
[Bridge]
The walls of Dis, the devils leer,
Angels fell, and Hell draws near.
Down we climb, the pit grows wide,
Sin’s own weight our only guide.
[Verse 7: Violence]
Blood boils hot in Circle Seven,
Violent souls torn from Heaven.
A river red, the murderers drown,
Tyrants wail in scarlet gowns.
Harpies shriek, the trees bleed pain,
Suicides twist in wooded chains.
[Verse 8: Fraud]
Eight’s a maze of ten dark pouches,
Liars, thieves, and false avouches.
Serpents strike, the flesh decays,
Hypocrites march in cloaked malaise.
Counselors burn, their tongues alight,
Fraud’s deep pit consumes the night.
[Chorus]
Oh, nine circles deep we go,
Through fire, ice, and endless woe.
Dante scribes, and Virgil leads,
In Hell’s embrace, the soul still bleeds.
[Verse 9:
Cocytus freezes, traitors lie,
In ice they shiver, damned to cry.
Cain’s betrayers gnash and freeze,
Judas weeps on Satan’s knees.
Three mouths chew, the king of sin,
Lucifer reigns where light grows thin.
[Outro]
Out we crawl, the stars return,
Through Hell’s core, the lessons burn.
Nine circles fade, the tale complete,
Dante’s quill, a solemn beat.
Virgil’s hand, my guide divine,
Through the dark, the soul still shines.
