Some new statues have been placed in prominent tourist locations, notably of apathetic-looking, plus-size women of color. Instead of creating heroic-looking statues that showcase humanity at their best, this is the direction that modern sculptures are going. Is this a sign of white guilt trying to make amends to past racism?
