Jack Posobiec published a column in Human Events urging fathers to take their sons to see Masters of the Universe and then watch the original 1983 He-Man cartoon together — arguing that Western boys have been systematically starved of positive masculine role models in children’s media and that He-Man represents exactly the uncomplicated heroism they’ve been denied. As a Catholic father and science fiction author, this video is a response to Posobiec’s call to action — why He-Man matters, what Frazetta’s influence on the character tells us about Western masculine archetypes, and why fathers taking this seriously is one of the most countercultural things they can do in 2026.
