Time Bomb, Book 3 of the Valiant Frontiers series by Jon Del Arroz, is a direct response to what Doctor Who and Star Trek got wrong about time travel — replacing regeneration-as-costume-change and time-as-reset-button with fixed rules, real consequences, and deaths that stay permanent. Where Doctor Who’s Timeless Child retcon gutted the stakes of regeneration and Star Trek Discovery used temporal mechanics as a narrative escape hatch, Valiant Frontiers builds time travel as a moral crisis forced on Captain Conley’s crew by a rogue agent from the 41st century. Time Bomb is available now on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited, with The Soul Catcher serving as Book 1 of the series.
