My TOP 10 Creator-Owned Comics from COCtober 2026 | Full Countdown

I spent all of October reading one creator-owned comic a day (#COCtober), and now it’s time to count down my top ten favorites from the bunch. These are the books that stuck with me the most after a full month of indie, self-published, crowdfunded, and creator-owned comics. From detailed world-building and strong art to pure storytelling that punches above its weight, we’ll go through the rankings, talk about why each one landed where it did, and highlight what made them stand out.

Expect discussion of titles like The Man With No Strings, Goodyng the Polymath, Omega Girl, Beckoned, Octopus Cowboy, Only Death can Save us, Downcast, The Atlantean, Bloodbone, Godlike and plenty of the other books I covered across the daily videos this month.Whether you’ve been following the daily reads or you’re just discovering these titles, come hang out, share your own rankings, and celebrate creator-owned comics.
